The actors don't feel like their acting as like Nathan Drake and Sully, but I'm a fan of Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg so I'm hoping this is a fun film.
Lads, at least give it a chance! Wait till you see the movie, if the story doesn't stand, no great casting will make do. Tom is a great actor, let's see what happens in February! :)
PSA: if you haven’t seen that uncharted fan film with Nathan Fillion as Drake and Stephen Lang as Sully, go look it up. It’s incredible and I’m still mad they didn’t cast those two
As someone who hasn't played a single Uncharted game, this just feels like a generic summer blockbuster. Maybe I'll just watch it on VoD with some friends...
This looks like it’ll be one of the better movies based on a video game, but idk if it’ll beat that fan film with Nathan Fillion, that was just perfect casting for Nathan Drake and the dude who played Sully too was good as well.
Feels like the sort of thing that will be a fun, enjoyable film but just ignore that it isn’t that true to the games. Although Nate does have insane upper body strength in the games as well.
As a gamer who has played all the Uncharted games, it seems like the movie is going to be pretty disappointing. It really lacks many elements that makes it Uncharted. The actors who play Drake and Sully just doesn't resemble and act like them in the video games. Their word selection is also completely wrong or at least in the trailer, maybe it will get better in the movie who knows. To me, it looks like the Uncharted fanfiction short movie by Allen Ungar is much better. It really captured the feeling and look of Uncharted. (Besides the shooting). To me it just doesn't seem like they got the feeling and looks of Uncharted right. For me it just looks like an action adventure movie. But i'm sure it will be a fine movie to watch. It's just not a Uncharted movie if that makes sense.
This is giving me Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life vibes when I want to be feeling a Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark kinda vibe. As a long time fan of the game series I'm compelled to say that it doesn't spark joy .
