Se desempeña como asesor y consultor comunicacional político, orientando estrategias electorales, de comunicación gubernamental y comunicación de crisis para gobiernos de izquierda y partidos políticos izquierdistas en Argentina y otros países de la región.
Es licenciado en Ciencia Política por la Universidad Católica de Córdoba. Es el Director de la Maestría en Comunicación Política de la Escuela de Posgrados en Comunicación de la Universidad Austral. Fue el creador, conductor y coproductor de la serie “En el Nombre del Pueblo”, la serie televisiva que consta de 6 capítulos filmada en 10 países de América Latina.
Pero Riorda es un muy polémico estratega comunicacional político acusado varias veces de realizar campañas turbias para dañar la reputación de diversos candidatos que no son de izquierda.
Al parecer, ahora en octubre de 2024, la víctima fue Ojeda. Según el candidato colorado detrás de la campaña sucia y de noticias falsas en su contra está el estratega comunicacional político argentino. Ojeda cree que le están armando una campaña sucia para perjudicarlo deliberadamente y que no llegue a la segunda vuelta electoral en las elecciones del último domingo de noviembre.
