DESCALZOS.NICARAGUA. Barefoot I worked in Nicaragua for three years in a provincial hospital where we sutured the wounds with the pieces of threads that were left from others. I worked in emergency for three years attending children, women in labor, adults and resuscitating cardiac arrests. Twice a week we went to the banana fields to tend to the barefoot people who had never seen a doctor.

Trabajé en Nicaragua tres años en un hospital provincial que suturábamos las heridas con los pedazos de hilos que quedaban de otras. Trabaje en emergencia por tres años atendiendo niños, parturientas, adultos y resucitando paros cardiacos. Dos veces a la semana nos íbamos a los campos de bananas a atender a los descalzados que nunca habían visto un médico.
