A CUBA: DULCE MARIA

A  CUBA: DULCE MARIA LOINAZ Y LA POETISA URUGUAYA QUE LA MATO SU AMANTE DE DOS DISPAROS:
     DELMIRA AGUSTINI

                   PRIMERA PARTE

No tuvo descendencia.

CUBA: THE MAN DIES, "THE PARTY ONE" IS IMMORTAL

CUBA: THE MAN DIES. "THE PARTY" IS IMMORTAL.

This slogan repeated to the exhaustion by the Cuban radio stations demonstrates the detachment that the propaganda chief of the central committee of the Cuban Communist Party had of the popular masses.
In popular slang - and this extended throughout the island - the word "Party" was given to homosexuals or queers who roamed the country with the homophobia that existed at that time.
In my work center they said to a mannered fag:
-Alfred. Are you from the Party?
   - No sir. I am the whole.
   -Then you are immortal.
The slogan continued through the stations as if no member of the government knew that the people took everything at ease.
Only when "one or one eats candle" approached - read a member of the PCC or the neighborhood committee - the jokes were silenced with that phrase.
When the joke was about Fidel Castro, he was called "Manolo" so that no indiscreet listener could hear and denounce us. Groups of acquaintances were formed in the workplace to talk about the latest "Manolo" boo-boo
The CCP, oblivious to this reality and knowing that it had already alienated Cuba's cubaneo or way of speaking between the scenes of terror, constant indoctrination and fear of a betrayal, did not admit any open dissent: jail and exile for them.
Suddenly someone from the Central Committee of the PCC realized the double meaning of the slogan and it disappeared from all sides and they did not repeat it again. That for ignoring the popular wit and its slang that had no limits in mocking the government even with humor.

Perhaps it helped them to be closer to the people and not in their empire of dominants and the great majority of dominated.

   -Alfredo. ¿Tú eres del Partido?
   - No Señor. Yo soy del entero.
   -Entonces eres inmortal.

STEAL THE GRANMA YACHT OF HABANA

STEAL THE GRANMA YACHT OF THE MUSEUM OF THE REVOLUTION IN HAVANA.

The information is recent. Like twelve emigrant men, desperate to leave Cuba for Colombia, with a large crane and taking advantage of the few sleeping watchmen who look after the relic of the expeditionaries of the Sierra Maestra. They loaded with the replica of the luxurious yacht and went to the Mariel.
The authorities already tired of that symbol that began the fall of the old dictator Fulgencio Batista wanted to get rid of him. They became like the one who does not see.

Other relatives waited in Mariel for the boarding. It is said that a member of the State Council wanted to escape as well because he made the trip on an inflatable rubber moored on the side of the yacht, the emigrants did not let him board because of mistrust.
It is said that the yacht is already arriving in Colombia, where some Cubans and the authorities are waiting for them as heroes.
What Cubans do to get out of the Castro hell!

HUMOR

That's why I cried GONE WITH THE WIND SPRAINED I could identify Arlen or Carlota my beautiful friend in whose balcony of her house we were discussing about Freud and Heminguey, to the Cisneros with her eternal mother vigilante-high with adorable legs-to Margarita, to Izet, discreet and intelligent, to Laila the mad girl, to Nelly Fernandez Mafú with her beautiful and hieriatic face, whom I loved in silence, my friend Loforte, my other partner Philip, black and tall, the male Pilots and others.

That's why I cried GONE WITH THE WIND SPRAINED

This dawn woke me up a dream of a memory of almost 40 years. My eyes were full of tears and a sense of loss of already gone times, like scenes that fade into a dense haze and disappear. They were classmates from the Preuniversity.
With their blue skirts uniforms and the tapes that adhered to them according to the year, girls and boys paraded as they were in their youth.
I was on the steps of the Pre and watched as some of the friends who walked towards the mist and vanished walked.
I could identify Arlen or Carlota my beautiful friend in whose balcony of her house we were discussing about Freud and Heminguey, to the Cisneros with her eternal mother vigilante-high with adorable legs-to Margarita, to Izet, discreet and intelligent, to Laila the mad girl, to Nelly Fernandez Mafú with her beautiful and hieriatic face, whom I loved in silence, my friend Loforte, my other partner Philip, black and tall, the male Pilots and others.
Then I began to reflect on the dream. It was the scene of our glorious youth gone forever. From our best stage of life in which life seemed like a lawn where we wallowed among flowers full of happiness.
Now those times are in the memory. Scattered throughout the world, my companions suffer even the tearing of exile even though they have already settled with their families in new lands.
That's why I cried. For the times gone that dragged me to a glorious past that the wind took.

We were so happy and we did not realize it.

THE DEATH OF JONH LENNON AND THE GRAMMA DIARY

THE DEATH OF JONH LENNON AND THE GRAMMA DIARY

It was a noon in December. We had lunch in the hostels of the Medical School in STGO of Cuba. I went up to my bedroom and started reading the Granma newspaper, and there was the big news.
It was a small box on inside pages "Murdered the English musician John Lennon by a gunman. Again the blood runs in capitalism "
And that was all. Intermingled with news of the sugarcane harvest record in the quagmire of the zapata swamp, where the crocodiles were highly appreciated by the Central Committee for its sweet meat.
Not a photo of the murdered singer, composer and Protestant for the wars.
So it was that Fidel Castro paid tribute to the great figure of John Lennon. A speck in a newspaper of national circulation.
Celia Sánchez Manduley, who was not even known in the Isle of Pines, Castro's adulteresses erected a mausoleum in Manzanillo, not that she did not deserve it, since she was "good", they says.
My fellow student, Dr. E. B. de Guantánamo, where the radio and television broadcasts of the American Naval Base arrived, asked me:
_ What do you think about Lennon's death? -I answered with sadness.
_ It has been a shocking news. Now I'm going to lock myself inside my mosquito net to mourn his death silently.
In the 2000s, Fidel Castro decided to remember the past and ordered a statue of John Lennon sitting on a bench to be erected in Havana.

The first thing that the town did or a citizen fuck was stealing the famous glasses to the statue.
